Does Western Rubbers’ undertake product customization?
Yes. One of our specializations is product customization. Our in-house engineers are available to assist you through the entire prototyping stage.
Can you meet specific material requirements?
Yes. With years of R&D efforts, we have developed in-house compound formulations for all rubbers. Thus, we can meet specific material requirement. In case, you have a sample product, but are not sure of the properties that need to be achieved, we can also reverse engineer the same and fabricate the exact piece with the exact properties.
I don’t know what type of rubber to use for my application. Can you guide me?
No problem. Our in-house team of highly trained sales engineers is available to guide you through the entire process of product design and material selection. On understanding the product application, ambient environment and other such details, they will be able to guide you through every step.
Why does it take 4-6 weeks for tooling and sampling?
Tooling and sampling must be undertaken for the prototype orders, which is a very critical stage. Tool molding time depends on the size and complexity of the mold. Then comes the trial stage of the mold. Thereafter, rectifications and modifications are made to the mold. This is because rubbers may experience some percent of expansion or shrinkage during the manufacturing process. These dimensional changes need to be carefully considered while designing the mold. Finally, the first piece is manufactured, which is sent for first piece approval. If this stage is cleared, the product is dispatched to you.
Do you have material in stock?
Yes.
- We maintain stock of standard profiles and sizes.
- We also maintain stock for companies who have given us their annual forecasted demands.
- We do not maintain stock for customized parts.
Can you make rubber parts in different colors?
Yes. We can manufacture rubber parts in any color, depending on client specification.
Owing to the use of carbon as a filler in most rubber compounds, most synthetic rubbers are mostly black in color. However, Western Rubbers can customize compounds in any color required by the client. In silicone-based products, along with providing transparent compounds, we can also offer tinted/lightly colored translucent bases. Further, we can color code parts as well to help differentiate size or hardness for your parts. We can also customize the colour as per requirement of the Pantone Shade number.
Do you provide customized printing on parts?
Yes. We have the facility to provide customized laser printing on your parts.
Quality Control
Will I be given Test Certificates with my order?
Yes. Basic test reports of physical dimensions and material properties are given. Other test certificate requirements need to be specified by the customer at the stage of order placement.
Can you provide a PPAP report?
Yes. We can provide Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 PPAP reports.
Is Western Rubbers ISO certified?
Yes. We are ISO 9001:2014 certified.
